HOT School Theme Song 2015/2016
This song was to be about what makes HOT Schools special and unique and we had the challenge of including the H.O.T. Schools CORE COMPONENTS: Strong Arts, Arts Integration, and Democratic Practice in both the process of writing and in the lyrics of the song itself.
Our usual songwriting PROCESS was used with each group and all of their contributions were the result of a meaningful conversation about what was important to them about being part of a school that values integrating the Arts and Education.

This was a multi-school songwriting and recording project commissioned by the CT Office of the Arts. The goal was to include students, teachers, administrators, faculty, and families from as many of the Higher Order Thinking (H.O.T.) Schools in CT as possible, in the process of creating a song that represents the community that these schools create.
We worked with groups from 12 schools in 4 days to create their own piece of the what would be the final song.
